Why do we like listening to music?

Do we listen to music differently in different stages of our lives?  Do we find some songs more gratifying than others in different times in our lives? Why do some songs make us feel good inside and others are just... just alright. Is it the wave frequency or is it that we relate to the lyrics? I, personally, know that I am not drawn to the words, sure it's great when the songs connect to your feelings and thoughts, but that is not my top requirement when choosing which songs I like or I should say which songs pull me in. I don't feel I choose them. They automatically get replayed and eventually given the title (at least in my head if I don't share them with anyone) that this song is goood.  My taste of music is different than what most people around me like. It is a personal thing. Hotel Design in the Middle East: Jordan, Kuwait and Lebanon

This is post #2 which is a continuation of my previous post: "Top Hotel Design in the Middle East: Bahrain and Egypt"  Click here to read it and which will continue with more posts in the future. Today's countries of focus are  Jordan, Kuwait and Lebanon . Do remember that this list is based on my opinion by looking at hotels online and reading about them. I looked for excellence on the feel of the place --where I think the architect and interior designer did a magnificent job together. Evason Ma'in Hot Springs & Six Senses Spa - Ma'in, Jordan It's nice to see a very nice hotel at a very nice place. For those who do not know, Ma'in is a hot spring and waterfall that many people go to for thermal treatments and a relaxing hot soak. That's why this hotel and its unique design catched my eye. The Change of Package Designs - A Trigger of Emotions

Is it just me or do you get a bit of an emotional reaction when certain package designs of things change? And no I don't mean any sort of crying....! But I'm the type of person that keeps old things because "you never know when you will need them," although I know deep inside I'm just lying to myself and they'll just sit there unused.  But what about package designs? Do you get that sort of emotional connection because you are used to the design, the material and the manner in which you use the product? You either like the design and don't want it to change or you hate it and keep thinking when will this design be changed (but you learn to live with it in the meantime) but in either one of these feelings you are constantly reminded of the feeling when you pick up the product. But because we humans are created in such a way, we do  eventually reach a comfort zone in the product use, so once it goes away something in our brain grieves slightly. Let...
