Why do we like listening to music?

Do we listen to music differently in different stages of our lives?  Do we find some songs more gratifying than others in different times in our lives? Why do some songs make us feel good inside and others are just... just alright. Is it the wave frequency or is it that we relate to the lyrics? I, personally, know that I am not drawn to the words, sure it's great when the songs connect to your feelings and thoughts, but that is not my top requirement when choosing which songs I like or I should say which songs pull me in. I don't feel I choose them. They automatically get replayed and eventually given the title (at least in my head if I don't share them with anyone) that this song is goood.  My taste of music is different than what most people around me like. It is a personal thing. Most of the time I listen to music either on my earphones or in my car, sometimes there are others around me where in that case I listen to different genres usually something more upbeat. Most d

Hotel Design in the Middle East: Jordan, Kuwait and Lebanon

Today's countries of focus are Jordan, Kuwait and Lebanon.

Do remember that this list is based on my opinion by looking at hotels online and reading about them. I looked for excellence on the feel of the place --where I think the architect and interior designer did a magnificent job together.

Evason Ma'in Hot Springs & Six Senses Spa - Ma'in, Jordan
It's nice to see a very nice hotel at a very nice place. For those who do not know, Ma'in is a hot spring and waterfall that many people go to for thermal treatments and a relaxing hot soak. That's why this hotel and its unique design catched my eye. It has been built to make use of its surrounding, keeping the mood alive. Water and natural rock are important elements here of design and they look amazing.


Hotel Missoni - Kuwait
Another hotel which coincidentally has a Six Senses Spa also...seems like I like this spa's style--I think they are all modern and sophisticated. This hotel attracted me with its bright and bold style.

 


Le Gray Hotel - Beirut, Lebanon
In my search I was hoping I would find a hotel that had an authentic feel or natural essence to it--I couldn't find one that caught my attention but I am sure there is one there. I did though stumble upon this modern sleek-feel hotel with an amazing view.
